  • The employment contracts, and terms and conditions of employment.

Identifying and Handling Misconduct & Disciplinary Issues

  • Distinguish the difference between self-discipline & enforced discipline
  • Recognize the types of misconduct and analyze misconduct
  • Negligence and willful disobedience
  • Establish the Level of Severity
  • Distinguish between a genuine Grievance and an Act of Misconduct
  • The Disciplinary and Grievances Procedures.

Due Inquiry

  • Understand the Principles of Natural Justice, and the application of Natural Justice in Domestic Inquiry.

Investigating Misconduct

  • Determine whether suspension is necessary, and Taking Witness Statement.

Domestic Inquiry

  • Learn how to prepare & draft charges and notice of DI
  • Identify role of various parties at an inquiry
  • Evaluate evidence adduced at the inquiry/arriving at a decision
